Fr. Ron Richards, Pastor
Fr. Ron wears many hats in the Archdiocese of Detroit, first and foremost as pastor of St. John Neumann, he sees to the needs of the parishioners through the celebration of the sacraments and also, equally important, getting to know them on a more personal level.
He is also a canon lawyer for the Archdiocese who serves the diocese in a couple of ways. One by working in the tribunal and secondly, teaching Introduction to Canon Law at St. Cyril Methodius seminary at Orchard Lake St. Mary’s, while also serving as a formation mentor at Sacred Heart Major Seminary for men studying for the priesthood.

Pat Conlen, Deacon
Deacon Pat serves the parish community through his preaching at the liturgy, baptisms, marriages, and marriage preparation. He also works with First Step, a home for women and children who have been abused.

Mary Wilkerson, Coordinator of Youth Ministry
Mary is the Coordinator of Youth Ministry at SJN since December of 2003. She has been involved in the youth ministry world as a teen, a volunteer, and a Coordinator of Youth Ministry. Mary has her BA in Theology with a focus on Religious Education. Mary coordinates all activites involving the High School members of the parish.

Sabrina Queen, Middle School Formation Director
Sabrina is responsible for Religious Education for grades 6-8. She also coordinates Middle School Youth Group, as well as Confirmation preparation for our eighth graders. Sabrina comes to SJN with a lengthy background in Religious Education, Youth Ministry, and RCIA studies. Sabrina is a people person and enjoys reading and has a great appreciation for the Arts.

Rick Cucchi, Director of Music
Rick has been in music ministry for 23 years in the Detroit and Lansing dioceses. He coordinates our Music Ministry choirs, groups, and cantors. Rick received a Master of Music degree from the University of Michigan and in addition to parish work has played the organ for the Fox Theater.

Donna Franke
Donna is responsible for weekly Religious Education classes for Preschool through 5th grade as well as the Sacramental preparation program for First Eucharist and First Reconciliation. Donna has helped create the Whole Community Catechesis process for our parish and leads a large team of volunteers each month to make the Faith UNwrapped sessions possible.

Betty Berryman
Betty works as Assistant to Donna Franke and Sabrina Queen in the Religious Formation office. She helps coordinate the Religious Formation Program, recruits and helps coordinate volunteers, assists in administrative and creative duties. Her work is crucial to the smooth running of the Faith Formation processes at St. John Neumann.

Liz Horka, Office Manager
As the Office Manager, I oversee the Administrative Team of the Parish. Some of my primary responsibilities are to maintain the building calendar along with the scheduling of Baptisms, Weddings, Funerals, etc. My hope is to make your experience here as welcoming as possible and know we are here to assist you when needed.

Bev Tierney
Answering the phones and greeting and assisting parishioners are #1 on my list! In my "spare time" I maintain and update the parish database, post weekly contributions, update associated reports, process CSA pledge contributions and maintain levels of food for funeral luncheons and other social functions held ate SJN.

Jan Jacobs, Business Manager Jan is responsible for the business and financial management of the parish for the last 15 years. She also manages the maintenance of the building, the grounds, and rectory. Jan also coordinates the hospitality, decorating, and garden committees.

Gene Kijek, Pastoral Associate
Gene coordinates all worship for the parish, interacts with the heads of liturgical ministries, and is responsible for liturgy planning and formation. He directs the RCIA program, the process that receives people into the Catholic Church. Other duties include marriage and baptism preparation, adult catechist for Fatih UNwrapped, Pastoral Council resource, annulment advocacy, and fund raising. His wife, Joan, is Director of Faith formation at St. Thomas a'Becket Parish. With 4 adult children and 3 grandchildren, Gene is always celebrating family in his life!

Laura Mahnken
As the formation secretary, Laura provides assistance to both the Formation staff and the Youth Ministry staff as well as to parishioners. Her assistance is important to the smooth administration of the Religious Formation Program.

Tom Malje, Head of Maintenance
Tom heads up the maintenance team at SJN. He coordinates the maintenance team to maintain the parish facilities, grounds, and rectory. He has been part of the parish team for 20 years. He is interested in the outdoors and spends many weekends in northern Michigan.

Jodi Plopan, Evening Receptionist
Jodi is the weekend receptionist at SJN in the parish office answering parishioner questions and helping out with various projects. She is active in the young adult ministry and is a sacristan at the liturgies.

Jane Dickman
Weekend Receptionist-Jane answers phones and assists
parishioners. Besides general office work, she also is very involved as head of sacristans
which includes setting up for Masses, ordering supplies and overseeing all aspects of the
liturgy so that all runs smoothly. |

Phil Haggerty, Maintenance
Phil is the newest member of the maintenance team here at SJN. He is always ready to help in any
way he can to maintain the facilities here at SJN and adjust rooms as needed for the many
activities that take place.

Sean St. Peter, Maintenance
Sean helps maintain our parish, the grounds, and rectory. He is always willing to help in anyway he can. Sean loves music and plays guitar.
